The Museum of Bedouin Culture, the only museum in Israel devoted entirely to the Bedouin culture, was established in 1985 when it became apparent that the formerly nomadic Bedouin tribes of Sinai and the Negev were in a process of transition to a more settled way of life, moving to established towns and villages.

My wife and I named a date in the middle of the week, avoiding the the Shabbath (Sunday) drivers and off we went.

This Museum is documenting past and present culture of the Bedouin Society in Israel in a very rich way also via personal experience of the tourist like preparing the ceremonial Bedouin Coffee in a tent. Beautiful Bedouin Women cloths with colorful traditional stiches and embroidery are also exhibited.
